What If…

We took the responsibility of healing back from out of the hands of the doctors who for the most part don’t care or have a greater love for mammon. For it is written by our Father, I AM the Lord that heal you.

Every time I see the commercial from St Jude, I begin to feel some kind of way. I ask myself what happened? They’re only kids! What did they do to warrant this type of life of pain and suffering? And as I thought about it, I immediately heard a quiet, calm voice saying, “Care enough to go where they are and make them well”.

As believers, may I ask what do we believe? Our Father has given us a command that we should lay hands on the sick and they will recover. Sounds like we “imitators” should be doing something. Or let me ask this: what do you think is the problem? What are we missing?

He wouldn’t ask us to do something we were incapable of doing. While Jesus was here, He did His part. He took 39 lashes on His back and by those very stripes we are healed. He was wounded for our transgressions, the chastisement of our peace was on Him. What more do we want Him to do?

I hear it all the time in prayer meetings and looking at prayer requests: “Jesus please heal us.”  Do we want Him to come back down and do His works over?  And before He ascended back home to our Father, He explained that we would do greater works. What we gone do?

In our lives we have made it a practice to be the best we can be in everything we put our hands to. We go at it with all of our hearts, wanting the best grades, promotions and hear those sweet words: “well done”. So, we wouldn’t want it said that we, his sons and daughters are the cause for a lack of physical wholeness in the earth? We have a mandate to get our Holy Ghost filled, water baptized temples out in the highway and hedges and be used of God that His glory and likeness may be revealed in His territory!

Our obedience, faith, words and body are needed in the Kingdom! Sickness and poverty come from the enemy and last time I heard, we regained our dominion over creation and darkness. And because of the works of our big brother Jesus, victory is ours. Could it be that we as followers, lack the confidence in fulfilling the assignment our Father gave us?

And is it possible the reasoning could be, that we are yet dealing with personal oppression, depression and any other “ssions” we may be facing? If this is the case, what a great opportunity to begin applying and practicing healing on ourselves, that our faith may be increased.

God has given us our authority back and we have the power of the greater one, the Holy Spirit living on the inside of us. We say greater is He that is in us than he that is in the World, what if we acted like it?
