Once we are saved, seek the kingdom, find it and apply it, we now have to compel mankind to do the same. I know that I am not the only one who asked why did it take so long for us to get back in right standing, or why it took so long for Jesus to come on the scene.

I am so grateful that God knows us and know how we His people, learn best. Each of us learn differently, but I bet if I asked the question, “how many learn visually”, most in the room would raise their hands.  It is something in our DNA that make us have to see with our own eyes, in order for us to believe? This is also the reason many of us are failing, because in order to please God, we must have faith for that which we cannot see. God knew that we needed to see a model of how He wanted His government to be reintroduced to His children.

In the Old Testament, when there was a war and there were captives, they dragged them all the way back to their home country and forced them to function as they did according to their teachings. I was watching a movie the other day and I understood the concept of what our transformation looks like. There was a child who was taken from her parents in an Indian raid when she was 3. She was raised by the Indians for 12 years learning their language, traditions, wore their clothes, ate with their hands and so on. She was seen by this rich rancher and they rescued her and took her to his home that they may find her parents and get her back to her rightful place. Once in the house she looked around because everything looked strange, she had not seen furniture, plates, clothing such as what she saw. She began to fight the people who were trying to conform her into what she already was in the beginning. She was taken before she was able to learn who she was, now she had to relearn her original origin. How to read, how to dress, how to eat with utensils, how to sit at a table, lay in a bed and not on the floor. She could speak the language but the meaning from her perspective was different. After spending quality time with the new people and once she stopped fighting the changes, she was able to accept her new way of life, parents and live life as it was intended.

Now, back to what I was saying regarding the visual model we needed in order for us to grasp the concept easily. When the Roman soldiers came on the scene they didn’t force those who were caught to go all the way back to their home country and conform. Where ever they were taken captive, a governor was set in place with all authority from the king and would make sure everyone conformed to the way of life of the Romans. This was the model God wanted and when it was done in the earth, He sent His Son. The Holy Spirit our Governor,  in our hearts would reteach us His original purpose and intent for our lives. Our job is to accept the change, apply it and pass it on to generation and generations to come.
