Life, Chosen, Action!

“Many are called, but few are chosen.” Note that it did not say, “All”. In the book of Revelations it reads … “The inhabitants of the earth whose name have not been written in the book of life from the creation of the world”… caught my attention. Because what it says to me is, the determination of life’s character’s have already been decided. The names in the Lamb’s book of life are already written. Which means, the Director — God, has selected those whom He wanted to play each part in His great Creation.

Now I’m not sure if I am the only one in the room, but this was scary to me because everything was in His mind and as He chose. When Directors write a play they have an open call for anyone who thinks they have what it takes to play the role. But before anything happens as far as a movie is concerned, a script must be written, and there has to be an ending before it even starts. Then actors, new and old, come to audition for the parts noted by the author and then are selected based on their performances and skill level which in the end determines the amount of mammon is made.

In the earth realm, the characters are chosen by a select group of people, mainly the writer and those he trust to aid him in picking just the right one for the job. But in the heavenly realm, God does all the choosing, everyone is called, but He has chosen, before creation itself, who’s name will be written and for what parts.

Somebody had to be Judas, because it was written, someone had to be Satan for it is written. There has to be those of the anti-Christ group, whoremongers, liars, adulterers, idolaters, false prophets and murderers just to name a few because it is recorded in the Constitution.

Now raise your hand if you want to volunteer for any of those characters in God’s documented plan? I know right, no one. Never the less, we may not be raising our hands but someone has to play those roles. There are also worshipers, mankind who are after God’s own heart, the chosen ones who are not fighting His process and doing His will. The differences in role choice is one, you volunteer and try out and get the part by vote, the other is, you’re chosen by God as to what part you will play in His Kingdom story.

When I was little, and I read the story of Jesus and thought about Judas, I said to myself, “I didn’t believe it was fair to Judas who had the part as traitor of our savior”. But I understand now that it was necessary for God’s purpose to be fulfilled because it had already been written.

We’re all quick to say, well Jesus was the Son of God and that’s why He could do what He did. And we would be correct. But He was also the Son of Man, the dirt side. And although He knew of the betrayal, He said, “The Son of Man will go just as it is written about him. So even He had to play the role given Him before the creation of the story being told.

Our God who wants all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth, also knew we would perish because we would refuse to love the truth and be saved. Therefore, it couldn’t be any other way. He is our author and finisher, and it is recorded, “heaven and earth will pass away but His word will not”. Let the performance begin!
